Osborne Appointments is recruiting a Warehouse Supervisor for a well-established supplier and manufacturer of corrugated cartons and packaging in Letchworth Garden City. You will support the Warehouse Manager, lead a small team, and manage stock receipt, storage, picking, packing and dispatch to meet customer deadlines.

A valid forklift licence is essential; strong IT and administrative skills are required, with a proactive, health-and-safety conscious attitude.

Formación

• Valid forklift truck licence.
• Previous warehouse supervisory or team leader experience is desirable.
• Good IT skills, with the ability to learn warehouse management systems quickly.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence with paperwork and administration.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a customer-focused approach.
• Ability to use initiative, apply common sense and lead a team when required.
• Flexible, proactive and hardworking, with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and moving stock.

Responsabilidades

• Support the Warehouse Manager with the day-to-day running of the warehouse, providing cover during annual leave and other absences.
• Lead, motivate and work alongside a team of four, ensuring workloads are completed efficiently and customer deadlines are met.
• Take a hands-on role in the receipt, inspection, storage, picking, packing, loading and dispatch of goods.
• Carry out regular stock checks, investigate discrepancies and maintain accurate stock records and product traceability.
• Complete warehouse paperwork and administration accurately and efficiently.
• Lead by example in maintaining high standards of health and safety, housekeeping, hygiene and PPE compliance.
• Ensure company procedures, quality standards and packaging requirements are followed.
• Identify, report and quarantine damaged or non-conforming goods where necessary.
• Work closely with other departments to support smooth and efficient warehouse operations.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and assist with internal and external audits.
