Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor in Gloucester to lead daily warehouse operations at Waterwells Business Park. You will supervise a team, oversee goods-in, storage, picking and dispatch, and ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.

With 75+ years in packaging, we offer a competitive £35,000–£37,000 salary, 45-hour weeks, and a strong benefits package including bonus, pension, training and progression opportunities, and wellbeing support.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse environment.
• Previous team leader or supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of goods in/out processes.
• Valid forklift licence (counterbalance essential).
• Good knowledge of health & safety practices.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Reliable, hands-on approach with a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily warehouse operations, ensuring tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
• Lead, motivate, and support warehouse colleagues to maintain high-performance standards.
• Oversee goods-in, storage, picking, and dispatch activities.
• Allocate workload and manage priorities to meet delivery deadlines.
• Conduct stock checks and audits, maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Manage documentation and ensure operational accuracy.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet customer requirements.
• Identify and address performance or process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and company procedures.

Salary: £35,000- £37,000 (dependent on experience) + bonus & benefits

Hours: 45 hours, Monday-Friday
