Job summary

MacFarlane Packaging in Fareham is looking for a Warehouse Operative to join our regional distribution centre. You’ll help ensure customers receive the right products on time, handling stock accurately and supporting efficient orders in a hands-on, collaborative environment.

We offer 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, with a salary up to £29,000 depending on experience, plus bonus, shift allowance, and a generous benefits package including holidays, pension, training and progression.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy warehouse environment.
• Valid FLT licence (Reach & Counterbalance).
• Strong attention to detail and reliability.
• Team-focused approach with a positive work ethic.
• Good understanding of health and safety practices.
• Basic IT, numeracy, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, check, and store incoming goods accurately.
• Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles safely.
• Carry out stock control activities, including counts and audits.
• Process returns and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate system records and documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams to meet delivery commitments.
• Follow all health & safety and quality procedures.

The role

As our Warehouse Operative, you'll play a key role in ensuring our customers receive the right products, on time, every time. Working within our Regional Distribution Centre, you'll be responsible for handling stock accurately, supporting efficient order fulfilment, and maintaining high operational standards. This is a hands‑on role where teamwork, reliability, and attention to detail are essential.
