Job summary

Rexel UK Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for our Glasgow Hub, working Monday to Friday from 10:30 to 19:00. You will lead a small team, ensuring targets and SLAs are met, while upholding health and safety standards in a busy distribution environment.

Experience in warehouse operations and stock management is essential, with strong communication across stakeholders. The role offers a shift-based schedule and the opportunity to contribute to a fast-paced logistics operation within the Rexel

Qualifications

• Proven background and knowledge of warehouse operations ideally in a supervisory position.
• Ability to supervise 5-6 operatives and coordinate priorities to meet dispatch deadlines.
• Strong communication across stakeholders and teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of operatives to deliver daily KPI’s.
• Allocating workload, managing priorities and coordinating cover to meet dispatch deadlines.
• Monitoring accuracy and quality, reducing picking errors and ensuring orders are packed correctly.
• Coaching team members on processes, safety and best practice to improve performance.
• Ensuring goods are handled, stored and packed to prevent damage and maintain stock integrity.
• Maintaining warehouse health and safety standards and housekeeping.
• Using warehouse systems/scanners to track work and maintain traceability.
• Communicating with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues quickly.

Job Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor, You will be supporting the Hub Manager, by taking ownership of the team, ensuring that operational targets and SLA's are met, site Health & Safety is upheld and any team escalations are dealt with.

You will supervise about 5-6 operatives across Warehouse operation, so ideally, you will have team lead or supervision experience from a Logistics/Distribution background, Have great stock management knowledge and able to effectively communicate across different stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of operatives to deliver daily KPI’s,
• Allocating workload, managing priorities and coordinating cover to meet dispatch deadlines,
• Monitoring accuracy and quality, reducing picking errors and ensuring orders are packed correctly,
• Coaching team members on processes, safe working and best practice to improve performance,
• Ensuring goods are handled, stored and packed to prevent damage and maintain stock integrity,
• Maintaining warehouse Heath & Safety standards/Requirements & housekeeping,
• Using warehouse systems/scanners to track work and maintain traceability (where applicable),
• Communicating with internal stakeholders (e.g., customer service/transport/branch teams) to resolve issues quickly,Communicating with external stakeholders such as Customers, Suppliers and External agency support.
