Job summary

Rexel Scotland & NI in Glasgow is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small team and drive daily targets in a busy hub. The role covers ownership of the team, adherence to SLA targets, and maintaining Health & Safety standards on site.

You will supervise 5-6 operatives with experience in logistics or distribution, strong stock management, and clear communication across stakeholders. A Monday–Friday shift pattern is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a warehouse team to meet daily KPIs and SLA targets.
• Strong stock control knowledge and accuracy in picking/packing processes.
• Excellent communication across internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and supporting a team of operatives to deliver daily KPI’s.
• Allocating workload, managing priorities and coordinating cover to meet dispatch deadlines.
• Monitoring accuracy and quality, reducing picking errors and ensuring orders are packed correctly.
• Coaching team members on processes, safe working and best practice to improve performance.
• Ensuring goods are handled, stored and packed to prevent damage and maintain stock integrity.
• Maintaining warehouse Health & Safety standards/Requirements & housekeeping.
• Using warehouse systems/scanners to track work and maintain traceability (where applicable).
• Communicating with internal stakeholders (e.g., customer service/transport/branch teams) to resolve issues quickly.
• Communicating with external stakeholders such as Customers, Suppliers and External agency support.

Job Description

As a Warehouse Supervisor, You will be supporting the Hub Manager, by taking ownership of the team, ensuring that operational targets and SLA's are met, site Health & Safety is upheld and any team escalations are dealt with.

You will supervise about 5-6 operatives across Warehouse operation, so ideally, you will have team lead or supervision experience from a Logistics/Distribution background, Have great stock management knowledge and able to effectively communicate across different stakeholders.
