Job summary

Wabtec is seeking a Stores Operative to support receipt, storage, movement, and despatch of goods within a warehouse. You will handle RF scanning, stock control, and documentation, ensuring health and safety compliance.

The role requires Counterbalance forklift certification, flexibility for overtime, and a proactive, accurate approach. Location is Barton Under Needwood with permanent, full-time hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 GCSEs including Maths and English.
• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence is essential.
• Desirable: VNA, Bendi, Reach Truck licences.
• Hold a valid current full Irish driving license.

Responsibilities

• Accurately receive, store, pick, and despatch goods in line with procedures.
• Maintain stock records including quantity, batch, and location using ERP.
• Complete stock transactions using RF devices for real-time accuracy.
• Carry out incoming goods checks and documentation verification.
• Prepare outbound deliveries and associated documentation.
• Safely operate MHE (VNA, Bendi, Reach Truck, Counterbalance).
• Move stock manually or with MHE following safe handling practices.
• Liaise with couriers and internal teams to resolve queries.
