Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Cardiff is seeking a Warehouse/Stores Operative to support the Virgin Media contract. Working hours are 07:00-16:00, Monday to Friday with occasional flexibility.

You will process, pick, pack, receive goods, and manage returns using the WMS. Teamwork, initiative, and accuracy are essential for success in this role. The role offers an hourly rate up to £12.85, plus benefits and ongoing training through GXO University, alongside pension and healthcare options.

Job description

Here at GXO we are looking for a Warehouse / Stores Operative to join the team working on the Virgin Media contract in Cardiff. You will be working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 07:00-16:00 however, a degree of flexibility may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure products are processed and handled correctly throughout the warehouse.
• Picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading and unloading of vehicles and processing returns
• Assigned administrative tasks
• MHE, manual handling along with carrying out assigned computer-based tasks using a warehouse management system (WMS)
• Liaising with customers and responding to queries and requests within a timely manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great attention to detail with an ability to effectively interpret large amounts of data
• Good PC knowledge
• Previous knowledge of WMS is preferred but not essential
