Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Cardiff seeks a Warehouse / Stores Operative to join the Virgin Media contract. Expect a Monday to Friday schedule from 07:00 to 16:00 with some flexibility to meet business needs.

You will process products in the warehouse, perform picking/packing and goods receipt, handle loading/unloading, and use the warehouse management system. A strong eye for detail and good communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Able to work Monday to Friday with flexibility as needed.
• Good numeracy and data interpretation skills.

Responsibilities

• Process and handle products throughout the warehouse.
• Picking, packing, goods receipt, loading/unloading, and returns processing.
• Assigned administrative tasks.
• Operate MHE and WMS; carry out computer-based tasks.
• Liaise with customers and respond to queries promptly.

Job description

Here at GXO we are looking for a Warehouse / Stores Operative to join the team working on the Virgin Media contract in Cardiff. You will be working Monday to Friday, between the hours of 07:00-16:00 however, a degree of flexibility may be required from time to time to meet the needs of the business.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Ensure products are processed and handled correctly throughout the warehouse.
• Picking, packing, goods receipt, checking, loading and unloading of vehicles and processing returns
• Assigned administrative tasks
• MHE, manual handling along with carrying out assigned computer-based tasks using a warehouse management system (WMS)
• Liaising with customers and responding to queries and requests within a timely manner

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Ability to work on own initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Great attention to detail with an ability to effectively interpret large amounts of data
• Good PC knowledge
• Previous knowledge of WMS is preferred but notessential
