Our site in Barry (Sully, Vale of Glamorgan) has been established since 1992 and specializes in manufacturing hydrophilic and treated Fumed Silica in collaboration with Dow.

We are seeking a Warehouse Technician to join our operations team. The primary responsibility will be managing product packaging and warehousing activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. The successful candidate will be trained to operate complex processes safely, adhering to safety, health, environmental standards, and cost efficiency. As part of a small, dynamic team, we value an enthusiastic, flexible team player.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Contribute to team and individual performance in line with site metrics, including safety, quality, and process safety management.
• Operate and monitor WPS processes to ensure safety, environmental compliance, and packaging targets are met.
• Assist with product shipping tasks such as container/trailer loading, tanker filling, inventory movements, and record keeping.
• Maintain accurate incident and operational logs.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of Nissen Hut and WPS Housekeeping areas.
• Perform maintenance work orders around the warehouse.
• Undertake additional duties as assigned by the line manager.

What You Will Bring to Cabot

Qualifications

• Fully trained Fork Lift Truck License and a full clean driving license.
• Valid First Aid at Work certificate.
• English & Math GCSE grade C or above, or equivalent.
• Intermediate proficiency in MS Excel and Word.

Desired Skills and Experience

• At least 2 years in an industrial environment following SOPs for equipment/machinery operation.
• Knowledge of stock record accuracy and cycle counting.
• Basic mechanical skills.
• NVQ Level 2 Warehouse qualification or experience, especially with lorry loading (container and curtain-sided).
• Experience in stocktaking.
