Job summary

Active Personnel is seeking a proactive Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a team of warehouse operatives at our Stanford Le Hope site, overseeing shift patterns, safety compliance and cost-conscious operations.

You will partner with the Warehouse and Stock Manager to ensure contractual obligations are met, manage resources and training, and deliver a consistently high, customer‑focused service while upholding the highest standards. This is a full-time, onsite role in the UK logistics network.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of warehouse management experience.
• Proven track record of successful people management.
• Commercial and financial understanding.
• Ability to manage poor performance in all people related issues.
• Project Management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse resources in line with operational and budgetary requirements including shift rota management.
• Promote communication links between shifts to ensure operational consistency.
• Induction, training and development of all employees, including agency and ensuring accurate records.
• Accountable for delivery of all aspects of the shift operation, ensuring the delivery of customer-focused service to all customers on site.
• Create a culture of continuous improvement in all areas.
• Compliance in all areas of legislation: Employment, H&S, environmental.
• Must have strong leadership skills and experience of leading a team.

Role Warehouse Shift Manager- Logistics

Contract Type: Full-time Onsite, Permanent

Shift patterns: Rotational, Week 6.00- 2.00pm/ 2.00pm- 10.00pm

Location: Stanford Le Hope

My client are a large logistics company that offer international logistics services and multi model transport by Road, Sea ,Air and Rail world's leading logistics company and their people are the unsung heroes who keep the cogs turning and the country running smoothly. They are the architects for transport and logistics and have a network of 155 branches in 16 countries.

Due to growth they are now looking for a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a team of warehouse operatives and support the Warehouse and Stock Manager to ensure compliance with statutory obligations and company policy and procedures in respect of Health and Safety, environment, and working time regulations.
