Job summary

EA First Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Shift Manager to lead a busy distribution site in Lutterworth. You will manage an ops team of 30–40 and run two shifts (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm), Monday to Friday, driving performance and service levels.

You will work with HR on ER matters, monitor KPIs, and ensure stock accuracy and health and safety compliance. A base salary of £40,000 with a 10% bonus is on offer.

Excellent opportunity to join a fast paced retail distribution operation within a rapidly growing 3PL provider

6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm / Monday - Friday

Growing 3PL Provider based in Lutterworth looking for an experienced Warehouse Shift Manager to manage an ops team of 30 - 40 x ops.

The Warehouse Shift Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day warehouse operations at a busy distribution facility in Lutterworth, ensuring the effective management of people, performance, productivity and customer service.

Working closely with the Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Leading, motivating and managing a warehouse operations team of approximately 20-40 employees
• Managing daily shift activities to ensure operational targets, productivity and service levels are consistently achieved.
• Supporting the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of warehouse colleagues.
• Managing individual and team performance through regular reviews, coaching and development plans.
• Working closely with HR on employee relations matters, including absence management, disciplinary procedures and performance reviews.
• Ensuring warehouse processes, operational procedures and company policies are consistently followed.
• Monitoring operational KPIs and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity and service delivery.
• Maintaining excellent customer service standards and resolving operational or service-related issues.
• Working closely with the Stock Manager to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure stock control procedures are followed.
• Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, company policies and operational standards.
• Maintaining high standards of housekeeping, site security and overall warehouse organisation.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational performance and reduce inefficiencies.The successful candidate will have previous experience in warehouse or distribution operations, with a proven ability to lead teams and deliver strong operational performance within a fast-paced environment.

You will ideally demonstrate:

• Previous experience as a Warehouse Shift Manager, Warehouse Supervisor, Team Leader or similar operational management role.
• A background within logistics, warehousing, distribution or supply chain operations.
• Experience managing and developing operational teams, ideally within a busy warehouse or distribution centre.
• Strong people management skills, including performance management, coaching and employee development.
• A hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate teams and maintain high operational standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to build relationships across all levels of the business.
• Experience monitoring operational KPIs, productivity, service levels and warehouse performance.
• A good understanding of warehouse management systems, stock control and operational processes.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements within a warehouse environment.£40,000 + 10% Bonus
