Warehouse Shift Manager | Retailer | Suffolk area | Salary up to £44,000+ Great Benefits

Zachary Daniels is partnering with a fast-growing retailer opening new stores across the UK. We are seeking a driven and passionate Warehouse Shift Manager to lead the team within the distribution centre.

The ideal candidate will be a natural leader, self-motivated, and hands-on, with previous experience in a fast-paced distribution or warehouse environment.

Shift Pattern

4 days on, 2 days off. Rotating shifts: 05:30 am - 3:00 pm & 2:00 pm - 11:30 pm. This rotation results in working only 244 days per year, compared to the traditional 260 days.

Role Responsibilities

• Lead and role model for First Line Managers
• Oversee inbound receiving, stock put-away, picking, and dispatch
• Drive process changes and improvements, ensuring health & safety is a priority, and develop operational processes to optimise stock accuracy
• Achieve and exceed KPIs, collaborating with other departments on deviations and corrective actions
• Ensure operational efficiency across disciplines, coordinating resources with changing demands
• Champion engagement initiatives with KPI monitoring
• Develop and implement process improvements, especially in start-up environments

Candidate Requirements

• Currently in a Warehouse Shift Manager role, preferably within general merchandise or related fields
• Significant management experience in a warehouse environment
• Knowledge of warehouse systems like Red Prairie or Blue Yonder is advantageous
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for refining procedures and policies
