Job summary

Lidl GB is seeking a Shift Leader to help run warehouse operations, lead and train a team, and ensure daily shifts are productive and safe. You’ll oversee opening, running, and closing shifts, while supporting your Department Manager and driving teamwork across the RDC.

The role offers a competitive salary (£30,000–£37,000 per year) and a comprehensive benefits package, including training, holiday allowance, pension, and staff discounts, with progression opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with all the development, coaching and training they need to succeed.
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and your direct reports.
• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations.
• Support your Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management.
• Motivate and support your team, learning from our Company Values.
• Mentor your colleagues and supporting your team’s training.
• Proactively promote efficient working methods, highlighting inefficiencies when you spot them.
• Efficiently perform general warehouse operative duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns.
