Job summary

Lidl UK is seeking a proactive Shift Leader for our warehouse operations, responsible for leading a team, coaching and training, and ensuring smooth shift execution.

You will work with other Shift Leaders and the Department Manager to drive performance, mentor colleagues, and perform typical warehouse tasks such as stock movement, order picking and returns, across 40 hours per week (5 days out of 7).

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting development, coaching and training.
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and your direct reports.
• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure smooth and efficient running of operations.
• Support your Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management.
• Mentor your colleagues and support your team's training.
• Proactively promote efficient working methods and highlight inefficiencies when spotted.
• Perform general warehouse duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns.
