Job summary

Lidl is seeking a Shift Leader to help run the warehouse operations, leading by example on the night shift from 20:00 to 06:30. You’ll line manage a team, support training and ensure smooth shift handovers to deliver daily targets.

In return, Lidl offers £30,000 - £37,000 per year, 30-35 days’ holiday (pro rata), 10% in-store discount, ongoing training and a supportive environment with opportunities to progress.

Responsibilities

• Line manage an amazing team, coaching and training for success
• Lead shifts for your area and manage performance of direct reports
• Collaborate with other Shift Leaders to ensure smooth operations
• Support the Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management

• Mentor colleagues and support training programs
• Promote efficient working methods and identify inefficiencies
• Perform general warehouse duties such as moving stock, picking goods, returns

What you'll do

• Line manage an amazing team, supporting them with all the development, coaching and training they need to succeed
• Lead the shifts for your area, taking responsibility for colleague performance and your direct reports
• Work closely with other Shift Leaders within your department and across the RDC to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the operations
• Support your Department Manager with daily operations and personnel management
• Motivate and support your team, learning from our Company Values
• Mentor your colleagues and supporting your team's training
• Proactively promote efficient working methods, highlighting inefficiencies when you spot them
• Efficiently perform general warehouse operative duties like moving stock, picking goods and processing returns
