Job summary

Howdens Joinery is a highly successful FTSE 100 business with over 900 depots and more than 11,000 staff. This hands-on Warehouse Person role focuses on keeping stock organised, safe and ready for collection or delivery, in a fast-paced team environment.

You’ll unload deliveries, check stock, operate forklift safely, and help ensure accurate records and smooth depot operation while upholding high health and safety standards. A forklift licence is desirable.

Qualifications

• Stock handling and safety awareness in a busy warehouse.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and stock movements.
• Good literacy and numeracy for paperwork and checks.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and checking stock accurately.
• Carrying out daily forklift checks and equipment maintenance.
• Ensuring stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Completing regular stock checks and maintaining records.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient.
• Assisting trade customers with a professional service.
• Supporting deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Collaborating with depot team to keep operations smooth.
