Job summary

Howdens Joinery is looking for a Warehouse Person to help keep stock organised and ready for collection or delivery at the depot. This hands-on role focuses on maintaining high health and safety standards, supporting trade customers, and ensuring timely stock handling in a fast-paced team environment.

You’ll unload deliveries, perform daily forklift checks, manage stock records, and drive efficient warehouse operations while collaborating with the wider depot team.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Good understanding of stock control and health and safety.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and accurate record-keeping.
• Good literacy, numeracy and time management skills.
• Customer-focused, friendly and professional attitude.
• Clear communication and strong organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Unloading deliveries and checking stock in line with health and safety.
• Carrying out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensuring stock is secure and prepared for dispatch.
• Completing stock checks and maintaining accurate records.
• Keeping the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Supporting trade customers with a professional service.
• Assisting with deliveries, collections and general warehouse operations.
• Working with depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
