Job summary

DS Smith’s Devizes packaging site is seeking a Warehouse Co-ordinator to maintain accurate stock control, coordinate inbound and outbound movements, and optimise warehouse capacity to meet production and customer delivery requirements.

The role also provides cover for the Production Planning function during absences, ensuring orders are planned effectively and raw material needs are met while working closely with Production, Customer Services, Transport and Supply Chain teams to ensure on-time,

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and stock control.
• Ability to co-ordinate inbound and outbound movements and manage warehouse capacity.

Responsibilities

• Co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the site warehouse and external storage facilities.
• Maintain high levels of inventory accuracy through cycle counts and stock reconciliations.
• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Monitor warehouse capacity and ensure stock locations are optimised to support operational requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions within company systems.
• Co-ordinate the movement of finished goods to meet customer delivery requirements.
• Work closely with Production, Customer Services, Transport, and Supply Chain teams to ensure orders are delivered on time and in full.
• Support the efficient loading, despatch, and receipt of goods.
• Stand in for Production Planner when absent
• Identify opportunities to improve warehouse efficiency, stock accuracy, and operational performance.
• Support projects aimed at reducing costs, improving service levels, and increasing operational effectiveness.
