Job summary

Blue Arrow seeks a Warehouse Picker for our Severn Beach, Bristol site. The role involves receiving goods, selecting orders, loading mattresses, and maintaining stock using WMS. Regular full-time shifts with a 4-on/4-off pattern and on-site training are provided.

Candidates should be physically fit, comfortable with heavy lifting (mattresses up to 60kg in team lifts), and able to communicate in English. Own transport preferred due to location, with a starting rate of £13.31 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Receive goods into the warehouse, ensuring deliveries are unloaded safely and accurately.
• Check quantities and inspect products for any damage or discrepancies.
• Sort, label, store and relocate stock within the warehouse.
• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload mattresses for dispatch.
• Complete stock checks and inventory counts as required.
• Operate handheld scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.
• Work as part of a team to maintain high warehouse standards.
• Deliver excellent service to internal and external customers.

Warehouse Picker Wanted in Severn Beach

We are currently recruiting Warehouse Pickers for our client based in Severn Beach, Bristol. Our client is a well-established international logistics and shipping company specialising in the storage and distribution of bed mattresses.

This is a physically demanding warehouse role suitable for candidates who enjoy active work and are comfortable with regular heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive goods into the warehouse, ensuring deliveries are unloaded safely and accurately.
• Check quantities and inspect products for any damage or discrepancies.
• Sort, label, store and relocate stock within the warehouse.
• Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently.
• Load and unload mattresses for dispatch.

What We're Looking For

• Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
• Able to lift and move mattresses weighing:
• Single mattresses: 30kg - 35kg
• King-size mattresses: 50kg - 60kg (Team lifting techniques and safe working practices apply)
• Good spoken and written English
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Previous warehouse, picker, packer, loading or distribution experience is beneficial but not essential
• Own Transport Due to Location
