Job description

Position: Warehouse & Order Administrator

Location: Widnes

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Overview:

As the Warehouse & Order Administrator, you will be responsible for managing and optimising electrical product inventory, handling, and distribution within a branch of the sales department. You will ensure efficient inventory management and coordination with sales, procurement and logistics teams.

Duties:

  • Oversee inventory management for electrical products, ensuring accurate tracking and stock levels.
  • Order processing for electrical orders.
  • Provide technical and product support to the sales team.
  • Implement best practices for warehouse organisation, storage, and product handling.
  • Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and sales teams to streamline operations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse staff on proper handling, storage, and distribution of electrical products.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.
  • Utilise warehouse management systems (WMS) and other software tools for tracking and reporting.

Skills and Requirements:

  • Electrical Wholesale Experience is ideal.
  • IT literate
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good knowledge of the industry
  • Ability to take instructions and work under minimal supervision.
  • Able to self-motivate
  • Able to prioritise workload effectively and work under pressure.
  • Ability to maintain technical knowledge of product ranges.
  • Capable of interpreting customers' needs where appropriate.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to undertake training to improve capability in the role.
