Job summary

Howdens Joinery Limited is seeking a Warehouse Person to support the depot’s stock control and daily operations. You’ll unload deliveries, check stock, and ensure accurate records while maintaining high safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

This hands-on role involves assisting with deliveries, servicing trade customers, and working closely with the depot team. A forklift licence is desirable, and you’ll benefit from training, a generous pension, and a strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Good stock control understanding and health & safety awareness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail when handling stock and maintaining records.

Responsibilities

• Unload deliveries and check stock in line with health and safety standards.
• Carry out daily checks on forklift trucks and equipment.
• Ensure stock is secure and prepared for dispatch and maintain accurate records.
• Keep the warehouse clean, organised and efficient through stock rotation.
• Support trade customers with professional service.
• Assist with deliveries, collections and general warehouse ops.
• Collaborate with depot team to keep operations running smoothly.
