Job summary

Renishaw in the United Kingdom (Miskin) is seeking a warehouse operative to support receipt, storage and distribution of goods in a dynamic environment. The role involves a double day shift pattern (6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm) with a 9% pension scheme, bonus, and hybrid working options depending on role.

The successful candidate will handle warehouse tasks, adhere to health & safety standards, use ERP/stock control systems, and communicate effectively with team members across the business.

Qualifications

• A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required to deal with warehouse information.
• Capable of working in an environment that may be physically demanding.
• Good level of computer literacy - experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook).
• Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.
• Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, training provided.
• Previous warehouse/stores experience and ERP/stock control familiarity.

Salary up to £27,400 depending on experience (+20% shift allowance)

Location: Miskin

Working hours: Double Day shift (6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm alternating weekly).

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of warehouse operations to support the receipt, storage, and distribution of goods - typically in a specific area of the department.
• Comply with company Health & Safety requirements, Quality standards, and applicable local operating procedures.
• Perform a wide range of system transactions to support the warehouse operations.
• Have strong communication skills (written and verbal) as the role involves interaction with both departmental staff and others across the business.
• Maintain a positive, professional attitude and be adaptable to respond to the evolving needs of the department/business.

Key Requirements

• A good level of literacy and attention to detail is required in the role to deal with various warehouse and order related information.
• The ideal candidate should be capable of working efficiently in an environment that may occasionally be physically demanding.
• Good level of computer literacy - experience of using Microsoft Office software (eg: Outlook).
• Good awareness and attitude to health & safety.

Desirable Requirements

• Current Fork Lift truck licence is preferable, although training will be provided.
• Previous experience of working in a warehouse or stores environment.
• Previous experience of using company stock control/ERP systems.

Person Specification

The successful applicant will be required to carry out general warehouse duties in a busy environment, handling domestic and international goods. The applicant will be a self‑motivated 'team player' and have a methodical approach to problem solving with the ability to plan ahead, prioritise, and co‑ordinate with colleagues.
