Job summary

Renishaw in Miskin, UK, is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide robust quality support across complaints, CAPA, risk management, and manufacturing processes.

You will engage with operations, design and purchasing teams to resolve field escalations, support engineering changes, analyse CAPA data, and help drive continuous improvement with KPI reporting. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive pension and benefits package.

Qualifications

• BS EN ISO 9001 knowledge is required.
• 3-5 years' experience in Engineering or Manufacturing with a quality focus.
• HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience in project-controlled environments and Engineering change activities including New Product Introduction.
• Understanding of technical reports and drawings.
• Working knowledge of CAD platforms and Assembly BOMs.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
• FMEA and risk assessment tools familiarity.
• UK driving licence as some travel within the UK will be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality Support for customer complaints, CCAR reporting, risk management and manufacturing support.
• Support operations, design and purchasing teams to resolve quality issues from field escalations and internal quality concerns from MSD.
• Support design meetings for current product engineering changes.
• Analyse CAPA system data and identify product reliability issues; provide data analysis for continuous improvement.
• Support quality engineering functions with KPIs and reporting data from software tools.
• Manage and control CAPA systems and coordinate design review / product realization meetings to implement corrective/preventive solutions.

up to £42,000 depending on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality S upport for key activities including - Customer Complaints / Internal CCAR Reporting / R isk M anagement activities / Manufacturing support activities
• Provide Quality support to operations team, design and purchasing teams for the resolution of quality issues reported from In field escalations and Internal Quality Concerns from G MSD division (Manufacturing Service Divisions)
• Support internal D esign meetings for current products engineering changes
• Analyse performance from C orrective Action System s database and identify Product reliability issues. Provide Quality data analysis for continuous improvement activities using cooperate systems
• Support Quality Engineer ing functions with Key Performance M etrics and S upporting data , extracted from software reporting tools
• Manage and control Corrective Action System s internal ly and coordinate design review / product realisation meetings , to implement corrective / preventive solutions

Key requirements

• Working knowledge of BS EN ISO 9001
• 3-5 years' experience in Engineering / Manufacturing sector with in a quality focused role
• Minimum o f HNC in Engineering discipline / Or relevant industry experience
• Experience in project-controlled environment s & Engineering change activities , including New Product Introduction
• Understanding of Technical Reports / Drawings
• Working knowledge of CAD platforms & Assembly BOM s
• Excellent communication skills
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Packages including Excel and Power Bi
• Working knowledge of FMEA & Risk Assessment tools

Desirable requirements

• Knowledge of quality tools and statistical techniques used with Six Sigma methodologies
• Knowledge of S ystems / Mechanical / Electrical engineering.
• Auditing experience (Training Can be Given)
• Six Sigma Certification (Training Can be Given)
