Job summary

LV Logistics in Aberdeen is hiring a Warehouse Operator to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will handle, store and rotate stock, perform daily FLT checks, and work to SOPs with a focus on accuracy and safety.

Hours are 37.5 per week with occasional extended hours; overtime paid. You will be part of a busy warehouse team, ensuring efficient operations and high housekeeping standards.

Qualifications

• Forklift licence is essential.
• Proven warehouse or logistics experience.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure FLT checks are completed daily and defects reported.
• Receipt, check and book in deliveries and complete cargo manifests.

Job Title: Warehouse Operative

Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisor

Hours: 37.5 per week, aligned to standard office hours, with occasional flexibility required to work later - up to 19:00 - during busy periods. Any additional hours worked beyond your contracted 37.5 will be paid as overtime.

Purpose of Role: To efficiently handle, store and rotate stock working within a team environment.

Main Duties And Responsibilities

• To ensure FLT’s are checked daily, recorded on relevant sheets and defects reported.
• Work to standard operating procedures in line with company policy.
• Receipt, check, and book in deliveries
• Complete cargo manifestation of inbound/outbound cargo
• Creation of commercial invoices in excel format
• Deal with inbound vehicles following the correct company procedure
• Ensure safe handling, storage & repacking of all products in line with stock locations.
• High level of care and accuracy with pick operations.
• Load distribution vehicles in a safe, presentable manner and highlight all errors and damages prior to completion.
• Maintain high standards of site housekeeping
• Maintain high levels of Health and Safety awareness and report any areas of concern to the Supervisor immediately.
• Assist with inventory counting when necessary.
• Put improvement suggestions forward where appropriate.
• To action any other elements to fulfil the operational needs of the business
• Any other reasonable duties as allocated by the Warehouse Supervisor/ Manager

What We Are Looking For In Our Warehouse Operator

• Positive, enthusiastic, dedicated and able to fit into a busy and productive team.
• Proven experience in a warehouse or logistics role
• Forklift licence (essential)
• Previous exposure to inland freight operations and customs processes
• Strong organisational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and flexibly across departments
• Ability to meet the physical demands of warehouse work.
• Comfortable with physical tasks and desk-based work
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 - Excel, Word, Outlook, and internal systems
