The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity to join our Warehouse Team in Winsford as a Warehouse / Stores Operative.

Job Purpose

This role will be responsible for acknowledging orders from suppliers, inspecting all vehicles on arrival, unloading/loading vehicles, and monitoring stock rotation using FIFO to ensure a continual supply of materials to production and stock areas. Completing accurate stock counts when required.

What you will contribute

• Acknowledge orders and booking in times from suppliers on the SAP system.
• Ensure vehicles are unloaded at their allotted time slot, check that received products match documentation, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and integrity to prevent contamination or damage.
• Inform the warehouse manager of any damaged products or shortages.
• Record all pallet and IBC returns and receipts on delivery notes and SAP check sheets.
• Monitor and adhere to stock rotation of ingredients and packaging, advising supervisors of products nearing their best before date.
• Marry up part pallets of similar materials to optimize space.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant quality procedures and work instructions.
• Communicate effectively with departments, suppliers, customers, and hauliers.
• Maintain a safe, hygienic, and secure working environment, controlling visitor access and ensuring safety at all times.

What you will bring

• Counter Balance and Reach Truck licences are essential.
• SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
• Excellent communication skills, speed, and accuracy.
• A flexible, friendly, team-focused, and can-do attitude.
• Initiative, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Ability to follow instructions accurately.

Hours of work

Shift pattern: 6am - 2pm; 2pm - 10pm; 10pm - 6am rotating.
