Job summary

DHL Supply Chain is offering a permanent (full-time) warehouse role based in Coldingley, requiring access to your own transport. The role operates Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, inside a prison, supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service by picking, packing and distributing items for offenders.

The position involves security vetting, teamwork and hands-on warehouse duties. A strong attitude and clear communication are essential. Benefits and induction are provided.

• Experience within warehouse environments is preferred.
• Clear communication and ability to work with diverse teams.
• Willing to pass security vetting and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Work inside a prison leading and assisting offenders in a warehouse.

• Keep stock accurate and ensure the operation runs smoothly.

Pay Rate: £28,198.19

Shift patterns: Monday - Friday 8am - 4.30pm

Location: Coldingley, GU24 9EX (Due to the location of the site you will need access to your own vehicle)

PLEASE NOTE: This role is based inside a prison and involves working alongside serving offenders. You will be required to pass enhanced security vetting as part of the recruitment process.

This isn't a standard warehouse role. At DHL Supply Chain, we run warehouse operations inside prisons supporting the HMPPS Canteen Service. This service allows offenders to use their own money to buy approved items such as food, toiletries and everyday essentials — with our teams responsible for picking, packing and distributing these orders within the prison.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• Work inside a prison, leading and working alongside offenders in a warehouse
• Hands on role - picking, packing and manual handling (up to 20kg)
• Keep stock accurate and the operation running smoothly
• Work at pace when needed and stay organised
• Working as a team to make sure targets are met

• Able to communicate clearly and deal with people, including in challenging situations
• Comfortable working inside a prison, alongside offenders
• Have 3 years UK address history (required for security clearance)
• Hands on and willing to get stuck into warehouse tasks
• Interested in doing a job that can make a real difference
