Job summary

Farmfoods are hiring Warehouse Operatives at our distribution centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. You will pick orders for our 300+ shops, with 37.5 hours across 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day. This is a permanent full-time role with various shifts: day, late and night.

Hourly pay is £13.69 for day shifts and £14.85 for other shifts, with under-21 rates lower. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, 15% staff discount, PPE, uniform, life assurance, pension, and a staff

Qualifications

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (Health and Safety).
• Physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will need to meet productivity targets.
• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Experience in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records of picks and related activities.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.

We are looking to recruit Warehouse Operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our Distribution Centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire (postcode: G67 2TU).

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Shift patterns include:

• Day shift - From 08:00 to 16:00
• Late shift - From 14:00 to 22:00
• Night shift - From 22:00 to 06:00

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.69 per hour for day shifts (£10.90 if you are under 21) and £14.85 per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts (£12.35 if you are under 21).

You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full time positions and if you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

As one of our warehouse operatives you will:

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders however there may also be opportunities beyond this to work in our goods in and loading operations.

You will need:

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
