Job summary

Farmfoods are recruiting warehouse operatives at our distribution centre in Appleton, Warrington. You will pick orders, keep records and support daily warehouse tasks to ensure shops receive stock on time.

We offer a permanent full-time role with 37.5 hours across five days, including some weekend shifts. Training is provided, with benefits including a 15% staff discount and a generous holiday allowance.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit due to the demanding nature of the role.
• Friendly, positive and hardworking attitude required.
• Experience in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
• Willing to work across different shift patterns, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records of stock movements and duties.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our distribution centre in Appleton, Warrington.

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Shift patterns include:

• Afternoon shift - from 12:00 to 20:00

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.69 per hour for day shifts (£10.90 if you are under 21) and £14.85 per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts (£12.35 if you are under 21).

You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full time positions and if you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

As one of our warehouse operatives you will:

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders however there may also be opportunities beyond this to work in our goods in and loading operations.

You will need:

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
