Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd are recruiting warehouse operatives for our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. You will pick orders for our shops, keep records and work a 37.5-hour week across 5 days, with potential weekend work.

Shift patterns include day, late and night, with hourly rates of £13.69–£14.85, and a range of benefits such as 30 days annual leave, 15% staff discount and a full benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over for safety reasons.
• Physically fit to meet productivity targets.

• Warehouse experience or manual handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets for delivery to shops.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking to recruit warehouse operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:

• Hours: 37.5hours across 5 days per week.
• Pay: £13.69 - £14.85per hour.
• Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, staff benefits package, and more!

• Address: Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way N, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Positions starting in September.

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Shift patterns include:

• Day shift - From 06:00 to 14:00
• Late shift - From 14:00 to 22:00
• Night shift - From 22:00 to 06:00

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.69per hour for day shifts (£10.90if you are under 21) and £14.85per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts (£12.35if you are under 21).

You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full time positions and if you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

As one of our warehouse operatives you will:

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.
• Work within the health and safety requirements of the site.

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders however there may also be opportunities beyond this to work in our goods in and loading operations.

You will need:

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
