Job summary

Farmfoods are seeking Warehouse Operatives for our Distribution Centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire. This permanent part-time role is 15 hours across 2 days a week with weekend shifts and hourly pay of £13.69–£14.85, including higher rates for certain shifts; 6 weeks holiday and 15% staff discount are among the benefits.

You will accurately pick stock onto pallets, keep records, and follow health and safety guidelines. Full training, PPE and a smart uniform are provided.

Qualifications

• Age 18 or over for this role due to Health and Safety rules.
• Physically fit for a demanding warehouse role.
• Friendly, positive and hard-working attitude.
• Experience in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets for delivery to shops.
• Keep accurate records during the picking and packing process.
• Carry out general maintenance and cleaning of the warehouse.

Warehouse Operative

Hours: 15 hours across 2 days per week. Pay: £13.69 - £14.85 per hour. Benefits: 6 weeks holiday, 15% staff discount, and more!

We are looking to recruit Warehouse Operatives who will be responsible for picking orders for our shops at our Distribution Centre in Cumbernauld, North Lanarkshire (postcode: G67 2TU).

We offer a permanent part time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working weekends each week.

Shift patterns include:

• Day shift – From 06:00 to 14:00
• Afternoon shift – from 12:00 to 20:00
• Late shift – From 14:00 to 22:00
• Night shift – From 22:00 to 06:00

Pay, working hours & benefits: We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.69 per hour for day shifts (£10.90 if you are under 21) and £14.85 per hour for afternoon, late and night shifts (£12.35 if you are under 21). You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full time positions and if you’re looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

As one of our warehouse operatives you will:

• Accurately and quickly pick stock onto pallets ready for delivery to shops.

Most warehouse operatives start with us picking orders however there may also be opportunities beyond this to work in our goods in and loading operations.

You will need:

• To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).
• To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.
• A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
