Job summary

Staffline is recruiting for Warehouse Operatives at a busy Darlington distribution centre. The role involves heavy lifting of white goods, order picking with a LLOP, loading/unloading trailers and returns processing. Full training is provided and on-site parking is available.

Shifts run 6am–2pm, 2pm–10pm and 10pm–6am with overtime opportunities. Suitable for students and individuals who can work to safety procedures and meet targets.

Qualifications

• Heavy lifting of heavy appliances such as washing machines, fridges and ovens.
• Ability to follow site safety procedures.
• Willingness to work as part of a team or alone to meet targets.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading trailers and stock handling.
• Picking items using a LLOP and packing for dispatch.
• Returns processing: booking in stock, checking for damage, repacking.

Job description

Warehouse Operative for our client's busy distribution centre which deals with large items and white goods.

Staffline are recruiting for

Warehouse Operatives in Darlington.

The hours of work are:

• 6am to 2pm
• 2pm to 10pm
• 10pm to 6am

The rate of pay is:

• £13.08 per hour
• £15.23 per hour

Overtime is paid at:

• £19.26 per hour
• £22.84 per hour

Your Time at Work

As a Warehouse Operative, your duties will include:

• White Goods- heavy lifting is involved
• Picking using a LLOP
• Picking washing machines, dryers, fridge freezers, flat pack furniture, sofas, TVs, etc.
• Returns- booking in stock, checking for damage, repacking
• Loading and unloading trailers
• Opportunities to be upskilled to become a truck driver
• Drug and alcohol tests will be completed during registration as standard

• Ability to remain on your feet and active for the majority of the shift
• Ability to safely operate a LLOP truck
• Manual handling of stock and warehouse equipment as required
• Ability to wrap and secure stillages, including reaching, stretching and bending
• Ability to push, pull and manoeuvre stock and warehouse equipment safely
• Must be able to met the required visual standards for the role, with or without the use of prescription glasses or contact lenses
