Job summary
The Best Connection in Newton Aycliffe is hiring Warehouse Operatives / Parcel Sorters for a brand new depot in a fast-paced logistics operation. This role requires physical fitness, reliability and the ability to work in a busy warehouse, with full induction provided.
You will load/unload, scan and sort parcels, and contribute to a safe, efficient team. Hours include Sunday/Monday - Friday with day/evening shifts; pay starts at £12.71/hour and rises after 14 weeks, with potential for permanent
Qualifications

- Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good attention to detail.
- Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.
- No previous warehouse experience required – full induction provided.

This is a physically active role involving the handling, scanning and sorting of parcels as part of the daily logistics process. We're looking for people who are fit, reliable, hard-working and keen to build a long-term career within the team.
- Loading and unloading parcels from vans
- Scanning parcels using handheld scanners
- Sorting parcels accurately and efficiently

- Following all health & safety procedures

Sunday/Monday - Friday
15:00 - 21:00
02:00 - 09:30
Weekend work may also be available if required.
£12.71 per hour initially
Increases to £14.93 per hour after 14 weeks, with a contract offered based on performance and attendance.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to secure a permanent position.
After 14 weeks, you may be offered a permanent contract based on your performance, reliability and attendance record.
