Job summary

DPD Group in Swindon (Unit 3, Interface Business Park) is hiring a Weekly Depot Operative Nights to join our night shift team. This part-time, permanent role involves loading, unloading, scanning and sorting parcels with speed and accuracy.

You will be on your feet from 02:00 to 08:30, Sunday to Thursday, with full training from day one and provided uniform and PPE. Competitive hourly pay plus enhanced overtime supports staff wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Job Description

• Days of Work:Sunday - Thursday
• Hours of Work: 02: 00 - 08:30

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service.

Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling andreporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
