Job summary

DPD UK in Preston is seeking a motivated Warehouse Operative to join our fast-paced team. You will be on your feet throughout the shift, loading and unloading parcels, scanning and sorting items up to 25kg to ensure on-time deliveries.

Job description

This is a fast-paced, physical role and you will be on your feet all shift. As a warehouse operative, you will be the backbone of our operation, playing a critical role in DPD continuing to deliver outstanding service. Key Duties Include:

• Loading and unloading, scanning, and sorting parcels with precision and accuracy
• Handling items up to 25kg (who needs a gym membership when you can keep fit whilst you work!)
• Using our technology systems to ensure every parcel gets to the right place at the right time
• Operating warehouse equipment including scanners, conveyor systems, and handling equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping throughout the warehouse environment
• Conducting quality control checks to verify parcel condition and accurate labelling and reporting any discrepancies, damaged items, or system issues to your supervisor promptly
• Working collaboratively with team members to meet daily targets and shift objectives
• Adhering to attendance expectations and maintaining reliability throughout your shift
