Job summary

GXO Northampton is hiring Warehouse Operatives for a new operation in Swan Valley. Join a full-time, permanent role with a two-week rota and night hours from 22:00 to 06:00, contracted to 40 hours per week.

You’ll support goods-in/out, use the WMS, pick and pack products, and dispatch orders while maintaining safety and quality standards. Training is provided, with benefits and development opportunities through GXO University.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment is advantageous but full training is provided.
• Willingness to operate a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) – training provided.
• Strong attention to detail and a quality-focused mindset.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support goods-in, goods-out and stock control using the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Pick and prepare stock safely using warehouse equipment, including LLOP.
• Work efficiently to meet daily productivity and accuracy targets in a fast-paced environment.

Here at GXO Northampton, we are currently recruiting for full-time, permanent Warehouse Operatives to join our team in Swan Valley, supporting our new business win Savers! From receiving and storing products to picking, packing, and dispatching orders you will be involved in all aspects of our warehouse operations.

You will be working on a full-time, permanent basis, on a two-week rota pattern: Week 1 - Monday to Friday / Week 2 - Sunday to Thursday, covering the hours of 22:00 to 06:00, contracted to 40 hours per week.

What you'll do on a typical day:

• Support goods-in, goods-out and stock control activities using the Warehouse Management System (WMS), including receiving deliveries, replenishment, order fulfilment and dispatch operations
• Pick and prepare stock safely and accurately using warehouse equipment, including a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP), ensuring health, beauty, household and retail products are handled with care and attention to detail
• Work efficiently and flexibly to achieve daily productivity, service and accuracy targets, both independently and as part of a team within a fast-paced distribution centre environment
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area by following all Health & Safety procedures, Safe Systems of Work and Standard Operating Procedures, while proactively reporting hazards and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Experience of working in a fast paced, operational or warehouse environment advantageous but not essential as full training can be provided
• Willingness to operate a Low Level Order Picker (LLOP) - training provided
• A self-motivated and reliable approach, with the ability to work honestly and with integrity at all times
• The ability to work safely and accurately, following processes and SOPs with a strong attention to detail and a quality focused mindset
• Strong communication skills and a professional, positive attitude, with the confidence to work both independently and as part of a team
