Job Title: Warehouse Operative Shunter Driver

Location: Bedford, MK41 0LZ

Job Length: Permanent

Working Hours: 48 hours per week on the night shift. Starting at 10pm and finishing at 6am on a Sunday to Thursday basis. Flexibility required to work other shifts to suit business needs.

About the role:

If you are interested in joining our journey, we are now recruiting for a Warehouse Operative – Shunter Driver. Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Manager, this role will play a key part of our succuss journey and you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following:

Role Responsibilities:

• Unloading inbound stock
• Unloading dray upon return
• Using an FLT to load stock onto drays
• Using safe manual handling techniques when loading drays
• Holding health and safety at the forefront of all procedures
• Shunting vehicles in the yard and on the public highway
• Assisting the fleet team with taking vehicles to a maintainer’s location and subsequent collection
• Reporting of any obvious vehicle defects to the fleet team
• Picking stock for loading on drays
  
  

Experience and Key Attributes:

• Class 2 Licence and valid CPC Card
• Experience using FLT / FLT Licence
• Experience shunting and/or yard management
• Experience working within a warehouse for an FMCG
• Customer Service
• Manual Handling
