Warehouse Operative Shunter Driver

Bedford, MK41 0LZ

Permanent

48 Hours per week on the night shift. Starting at 10pm and finishing at 6am on a Sunday to Thursday basis. Flexibility required to work other shifts to suit business needs.

We are now recruiting for a Warehouse Operative Shunter Driver to join us. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this role will be responsible for supporting our Bedford depot in getting our stock to our customers:

Key Accountabilities:

1. Unloading inbound stock
2. Unloading dray upon return
3. Using an FLT to load stock onto drays
4. Using safe manual handling techniques when loading drays
5. Holding health and safety at the forefront of all procedures
6. Shunting vehicles in the yard and on the public highway
7. Assisting the fleet team with taking vehicles to a maintainer’s location and subsequent collection
8. Reporting any obvious vehicle defects to the fleet team
9. Picking stock for loading on drays

Experience and Key Attributes:

1. Class 2 Licence and valid CPC Card
2. Experience using FLT / FLT Licence
3. Experience shunting and/or yard management
4. Experience working within a warehouse for an FMCG
5. Customer Service
6. Manual Handling
