Job summary

Quest Employment is recruiting for a permanent warehouse position in Peterborough. The role involves picking/packing orders, loading/unloading goods, and general duties in a friendly, small team environment. Large on-site dog considerations are noted; candidates should be comfortable around dogs and able to work both independently and with others.

Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm, with a starting hourly rate of £12.71 and progression opportunities within a family-run business.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience, ideally with some FLT exposure.
• Good spoken and written English.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Be comfortable working around dogs.

Please note: There are dogs on site, including a large rescue dog. Candidates must be comfortable working around dogs. The larger dog will be introduced to new employees gradually and in a controlled manner.

The Role

• Operating an FLT – FLT licence is not required
• Picking and packing customer orders
• Loading and unloading goods where required
• General warehouse duties
• Moving stock around the warehouse
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised working environment
• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day warehouse operations
• Following company health and safety procedures

About You

• Have previous warehouse experience, ideally with some FLT experience
• Be comfortable operating an FLT or willing to learn
• Have good spoken and written English
• Have basic computer skills and be comfortable using computer systems
• Be reliable, punctual and hardworking
• Have a good attitude and be willing to support the wider team
• Be comfortable working around dogs
• Be able to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Be looking for a long-term, permanent opportunity

Monday – Friday

8:30am – 5:00pm

No weekend work is required.
