Job summary

Alliance Automotive Logistics in Rotherham is seeking a Warehouse Operative for its National Distribution Centre. You will ensure efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of parts while maintaining safety and stock accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

The role involves lifting up to 20 kg, standing and walking for extended periods, and flexibility to work evenings, nights and weekends. Competitive pay is £12.71 per hour base plus a £2.20 supplement after 18:00, with opportunities for training

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work physically demanding tasks including lifting, standing, and walking for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in order processing.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, and weekends if required.
• Basic IT skills for data entry and scanning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Receive, unload, and check incoming goods for quality and quantity
• Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for dispatch in line with company procedures
• Operate warehouse equipment safely, including pallet trucks and forklifts (training provided if required)
• Carry out stock checks, cycle counts, and maintain accurate inventory records
• Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations
• Assist with loading and unloading of delivery vehicles efficiently
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily operational targets
• Report any discrepancies, damages, or safety issues promptly to management
• Follow all company policies and procedures related to warehouse operations and safety
