Job summary

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) in the UK is seeking a Warehouse Operative to pick orders, load and unload vehicles, and put stock away. The role involves manual handling and occasional Van or Forklift duties.

Shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 4am to 13:30, with strong development routes in health and safety and logistics.

Qualifications

• Reliable and enthusiastic with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
• Understanding of workplace Health & Safety and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Experience in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment; forklift licence ideal but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Check goods received and sent out for faults and report as required.
• Maintain high stock count accuracy during audits and report discrepancies.
• Move goods efficiently and accurately within the warehouse per instructions.
• Load outbound vehicles safely and according to instructions and current legislation.
• Put away received stock in correct locations and prepare dispatch per DC requirements.

About the role

• Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported asrequired
• Ensurehigh levelsof count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies,shortagesor problem areas
• Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient andaccurateaccording to instruction
• Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, CompanyPracticeand current legislation
• Ensure all received stock is ‘put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed,pickedand loaded correct to customer order and DC requirements.
