Job summary

Micheldever Tyre Services (MTS) is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Chepstow to handle order picking, loading/unloading, and stock control. The role involves manual handling, with occasional forklift or van driving duties in a busy warehouse environment.

You will contribute to accurate stock counts, ensure safety and compliance, and support outbound loading to customer orders. A UK driving licence is required and forklift training is available.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar fast-paced role is essential.
• Experience in a Warehouse role is preferred.
• Forklift licence is preferred.
• Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders and load/unload vehicles.
• Put stock away and ensure accurate stock handling.
• Conduct stock checks and report discrepancies.
• Ensure outbound vehicles are loaded safely and correctly.
• Move goods within the warehouse efficiently and per instructions.
• Occasionally cover delivery drivers as needed.

Micheldever Tyres is looking for an enthusiasticWarehouse Operative to be responsible for picking orders, loading and unloading vehicles and putting stock away. The role involves manual handling, heavy lifting duties and occasional Van or Forklift Truck driving duties.

• Location: Chepstow
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday07:00 – 15.30
• Stock Take: 6 Saturdays per annum for stock take
• Must have: Experience in a similar fast paced role. Experience in a Warehouse Role and Forklift licence preferred

About the role:

• Ensure all goods received and sent out are checked for faults and reported as required
• Ensure high levels of count accuracy at Stock Audits, effectively communicating stock discrepancies, shortages or problem areas
• Ensure any movement of goods within the Warehouse environment is efficient and accurate according to instruction
• Ensure out-bound vehicles are loaded in a proper, safe manner, according to instruction, Company Practice and current legislation
• Ensure all received stock is ‘put-away’ in the correct locations within the Warehouse and all goods due for dispatch are processed, picked and loaded correct to customer order and DC requirements.
• Experience in driving / willingness to occasionally cover our delivery drivers

About you:

• We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals with a strong work ethic and good customer service skills.
• You will have an understanding of workplace Health & Safety and work independently and as part of a team
• Experience in a similar fast-paced, physically demanding environment, Fork lift licence, Counterbalance or Reach Truck, preferred
• Full UK Driving Licence
