Job summary

Volvo Group is seeking a warehouse operative to support core warehouse operations at our Rugby/Coventry sites during a relocation period. The role involves unloading, receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch using ASRS and traditional methods.

You will work with Volvo Group brands including Volvo Penta, Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks and Bus, handling a wide range of parts and ensuring accurate and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Fluent English and UK driving licence required.
• Forklift licences desirable (Counterbalance, Reach Truck, etc.).
• Experience with Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems (ASRS) and automated warehouses.
• Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and handheld scanners.

Responsibilities

• Safely unload and check inbound deliveries against documentation.
• Quality-check and store products accurately.
• Manage incoming returns and process them correctly.
• Release orders from the system and prepare them for picking by warehouse area.
• Manage stock moves, extractions, and complex/high-density storage (hazardous items).
• Operate mechanical handling equipment safely and report any defects or hazards.
• Participate in team meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
