Job summary

Yusen Logistics is seeking a Grade 3 Warehouse Operative for our SDC site in Northampton. You will support picking, loading, unloading and reworking of products across inbound and outbound operations, with emphasis on Casio contract and some heavy lifting.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm (1-hour lunch, two 15-minute breaks), with one week in five at 6am–3pm. Salary £28,354.14 per annum, plus company benefits.

Qualifications

• Previous warehouse experience within a fast-paced operation.
• Good communication skills.
• MHE licences are desirable, but not essential. However, willingness to be trained on MHE is required.
• Good general IT skills and ideally experience of Warehouse Management Systems – training will be provided where required.
• A team player with a flexible, proactive attitude.
• Awareness of manual handling techniques.
• Able to adapt to changing demands and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• As directed, safely picking a variety of products to rework to customer specification and loading products to specified deadlines.
• Follow Safe Systems of Work (SSOW), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), and Work Instructions (WI).
• Safely handle products during inbound and outbound processes, adhering to company procedures to minimise damage and prevent injuries.
• Appropriate use of MHE (Manual Handling Equipment) as directed and in accordance with training.
• Collaborate with colleagues to build positive working relationships.
• Follow all Health and Safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Perform equipment checks and report any defects promptly.
• Ensure any concerns, issues or variances are communicated immediately to your Line Manager, to allow the appropriate to be taken in a swift manner.

Role Overview

We are currently looking for a Grade 3 Warehouse Operative to join our team at our SDC site in Northampton (NN7 2FR).

As a Warehouse Operative, you will support the effective running of the warehouse operation with the focus on picking, loading, unloading, reworking of products, inbound and outbound functions across the site. This role will be primarily working on the Casio contract and will include some heavy lifting.

We are offering a salary of £28,354.14 per annum. This is working Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm, including a 1-hour lunch and 2 x 15-minute breaks. Please note, there will be a requirement one week in every five to work 6am – 3pm.
