Job summary

Designer Contracts Ltd. in Kettering is seeking a warehouse operative to join our friendly team. You will help ensure a secure, efficient and tidy warehouse, loading and unloading vehicles, and monitoring stock with a focus on safety and accuracy.

We value a strong team player with a positive attitude who can work under deadlines and is willing to undertake Fork Lift Truck certificate training. This is a hands-on role in a busy distribution environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safe and efficient loading and unloading of vehicles
• Manage waste, minimise cost and maximise recycling
• Ensure effective communication across the business and with customers
• Maintaining health and safety standards at all times
• Picking, cutting, loading and putting away stock
• Monitoring goods entering and leaving the warehouse
• Ensuring all goods in the warehouse are labelled and stored safely
• Processing waste streams into recyclable and non-recyclable bales
• Carrying out housekeeping duties in relation to the warehouse
• Ensuring stock and warehouse security
• Ability to work efficiently and safely under tight deadlines
• Must be willing to undertake training for a Fork Lift Truck certificate
