Job summary

LabCorp is seeking a warehouse/store operative to support Goods In/Out, receipts into ERP, and inventory control at our UK site. The role requires a full UK driving licence, a forklift licence preferred, and prior warehouse experience.

You will handle mail, QA data, and filing, while following SOPs and safety rules. The site operates in a fast-paced environment, with manual handling and occasional out-of-hours callouts.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain flow of goods and documents to end user departments.
  • Goods In: receipt, unpack, check quantity and condition.
  • Goods Out: deliver goods and samples to departments on site.
  • Receipting deliveries into ERP system.
  • Quarantine non-conforming consignments and report to a manager.
  • Store inventory items in correct locations.
  • Pick inventory against internal requisitions.
  • Pack and dispatch goods to external destinations.
  • Assist in inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Sort and distribute internal and external mail.
  • Distribute QA data and maintain housekeeping.
  • File delivery notes, pick plans and sample forms.
  • Comply with SOPs and applicable policies.

Job description

  • Maintaining the flow of goods/documents to end user departments. This includes purchased goods, client samples, mail and data.
  • Goods In - taking receipt of deliveries, unpacking and checking the delivery to ensure that the specification and quantity is correct and that the condition of the goods is acceptable.
  • Goods Out - delivering goods/samples to operational and service departments on the main site
  • Receipting deliveries into ERP system
  • Ensuring that non-conforming consignments are quarantined and reported to a manager.
  • Storing inventory items into the correct storage location.
  • Picking inventory items against internal requisitions.
  • Packing and dispatch of goods to external destinations.
  • Assisting in inventory management and cycle counts.
  • Sorting and distribution of internal and external mail.
  • Distribution of QA data.
  • Housekeeping duties.
  • Filing - delivery notes, pick plans and sample forms
  • Comply with department SOPs and other relevant policies and regulations pertaining to the Stores department.
  • Working overtime and attend out of hours call outs as and when required
    National level of education (c / 4 or above) in science, Math and English GCSE or equivalent.
Additional Job Standards:
  • A full UK drivers' licence.
  • Forklift licence preferred.
  • Demonstrable warehouse or stores experience.
  • Enthusiastic and committed attitude.
  • I.T proficiency
