Job summary

Marshall Motor Group is seeking a part-time warehouse/parts operative in Exeter to support stocktakes, receive and dispatch parts, check for damage and maintain accurate records. You will work 28 hours per week, assisting with stock control, locating inbound parts and preparing orders for dispatch.

働 you will use systems such as Excel, maintain health and safety standards, and contribute to a busy, customer-focused operation representing a group with 25+ brands across 130 stores in England.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parts or distribution.
• Ability to record information accurately.
• Motivated, dedicated and organised with a focus on Health & Safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with regular stock takes to ensure warehouse inventory aligns with computerised records and report discrepancies.
• Lift and move parts within the warehouse.
• Check incoming parts for damage and record findings.
• Identify and store inbound parts with correct part numbers.
• Pick customer orders and prepare them for dispatch.
• Ensure authorised signatures, receipts or payments for parts issued over the trade counter; prevent unauthorised removal of stock.
• Adhere to Health & Safety regulations, especially manual handling.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the warehouse supervisor with regular stock takes to ensure the stock in the warehouse meets with the computerised inventory, and reporting any discrepancies promptly
• Lifting and moving Parts within the warehouse
• Checking for any damage on incoming parts orders and recording any findings
• Identifying and storing inbound parts into the correct locations ensuring all parts have a part number
• Picking customers orders and preparing them for dispatch
• Ensuring that authorised signatures, receipts or payments are received for all parts issued over the trade counter and ensuring no unauthorised removal of parts stock out of the warehouse
• Adhering to Health & Safety regulations at all times (Particularly manual handling practices)

Qualifications

• Previous experience in parts or distribution
• A team-player who is comfortable operating with set processes and procedures
• Good Communication skills
• Ability to record information accurately
• Motivated, dedicated and organised with a focus on Health & Safety in the workplace
