Job summary

Boots site in Nottingham is seeking a Warehouse Operative for a permanent role. You will handle receipt, dispatch and distribution, operate handling equipment, and work within a modern facility.

The role requires you to build pallets, support stock control, and maintain safety standards. The position operates on an 8–12 hour rotating shift pattern (early, late, nights) with pay at £13.77 per hour and potential extra earnings once fully trained.

Qualifications

• Valid FLT certificate (Counterbalance / Reach and/or Bendi) is required or in-house accepted.
• Basic digital literacy to operate inventory systems and computer terminals.
• Good levels of literacy and numeracy, plus attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Receive, dispatch and distribute materials within the factory.
• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move products safely.
• Build pallets and orders to support accurate order fulfilment.
• Inspect and store materials, and manage stock counts.
• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and safety, and support housekeeping.
• Record movements and generate documentation for inventory control.

What You Will Be Doing

The Warehouse Operator is involved in the receipt, dispatch and distribution of material and product within the factory.

• Use appropriate material handling equipment to move product and materials from and to designated locations to support bulk activities in an efficient and safe manner.
• Build pallets and orders as directed to support successful order fulfilment.
• Safe handling and storage of materials.
• Stock process - handles delivery and sorting
• Work accurately to control warehouse inventory at acceptable levels.
• Analyse material movements to locate parts, serial number, and quantity change.
• Generate movement documentation.
• Perform inventory count, stock material in the appropriate locations.
• Efficiently load/unload trucks and transports with a forklift.
• Assist the daily housekeeping and maintenance of the warehouse and logistics area.
• Adheres to all policies and procedures relating to product age and quality.
• Conduct inspection of logistic equipment including FLTs, pallet inverters, racking, etc

What You Will Bring

• Valid FLT certificate (Counterbalance / Reach and/orBendi - in-house accepted) AND/OR relevant warehouse experience. For candidates with no FLT licence a training repayment agreement can be arranged;
• At least a basic digital literacy to operate computer inventory systems;

Good levels of literacy and numeracy;
