Job summary

SIG Insulation & Drylining is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our branch network. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, picking, and loading stock, while maintaining a safe, accurate, and efficient operation that supports excellent customer service.

You will work in a safety-focused environment, handling deliveries, stock records, and order preparation with a team that values reliability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience in a warehouse or yard role desired.
• Forklift licence is desirable.
• Good data accuracy and numeracy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with deliveries by unloading and loading vehicles.
• Receive and store goods in correct locations.
• Prepare customer orders and load onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries and report stock breakages.
• Maintain clean, safe warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily checks and service equipment safely.
• Support stocktakes and overtime when required.

Warehouse Operative

We are looking for a reliable and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our team, helping us maintain our high standards of service, accuracy, and safety.

What’s the role?

As a Warehouse Operative you will be a key part of the day-to-day operations of the branch. Your role will focus on ensuring the receiving, storage, picking, and loading of stock is completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the branch. You will work within a supportive and safety-focused environment, helping our team provide the best possible service to our customers.

What you'll be doing:

• Assisting with deliveries in unloading and loading of vehicles at the branch
• Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse/yard.
• Prepare customer orders according to sales requirements and load them onto vehicles.
• Sign for deliveries, report stock breakages, and maintain accurate stock records.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
• Carry out daily checks and maintain forklifts and other mechanical handling equipment in a safe working condition.
• Promote a “Everyone Safe, Every Day,” culture by ensuring the safety of yourself and colleagues.
• Be flexible and assist with stocktaking and overtime as required.

What you’ll bring:

• A valid Forklift Licence – Desirable
• Good data accuracy, numeracy, and basic IT skills.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• Previous experience in a warehouse or yard role is advantageous.
• A flexible and adaptable approach with a can-do attitude.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
