Job summary

IKEA in the United Kingdom is hiring a Warehouse Operative to support our customer distribution centre. You will receive goods, pick and pack orders, and maintain accurate stock records while following safety protocols.

This full‑time role runs 40 hours across five shifts with weekends on a rotating basis, 2pm to 10pm. The position includes a forklift allowance and a benefit package including staff discounts and pension contributions.

WHAT WE OFFER

• The Start Date of employment will be: 18th, 25th November or 2nd of December 2026
• Full Time: 40 hours working 5 shifts per week including alternate weekends. The shift times for this role are set working from 2pm until 10pm.
• This role offers an hourly rate of £13.45 plus a Fork Lift Truck Driving allowance of £1.50 per hour.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

• Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
• Experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• You are prepared to act on your own initiative and to participate in group efforts.
• Due to health and safety regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

• Receiving goods with accuracy, picking and packing orders and keeping accurate records of stock levels.
• Working with or around heavy machinery, such as, Forklift trucks, counterbalance, pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers.
• You will be required to manually handle all of our products ranging from LACK Coffee Tables to PAX Wardrobes using safe manual handling practices and appropriate assistive equipment.
