Job summary

IKEA Exeter is seeking full-time nightshift Forklift Drivers to join our Fulfilment Operations team. You will safely operate a forklift to move stock into the warehouse and ensure products are available for customers and coworkers.

duties include loading/unloading, prioritising tasks, and adhering to safety protocols in a busy warehouse environment. Competitive hourly pay plus allowances applies, with 39 hours per week across 5 nights in a 7-day cycle.

Qualifications

• Previous Forklift experience required – We're looking for safety-conscious forklift operators with experience working in a busy warehouse environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and organise workload efficiently, with a keen attention to detail.
• Demonstrated experience in using technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
• Efficient and motivated, capable of managing tasks with professionalism as well as collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

• You ensure products are available to customers by ensuring tasks in your area are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
• Operate a forklift, and work around other heavy machinery, such as other forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks, to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a secure environment for both customers and co-workers.
• Using your forklift safely to pick palettes and move them from our loading bay to our warehouse.

IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome full-time nightshift Forklift Drivers to join our reliable Fulfilment Operations team. Shift times will fall between 00:00am midnight and 10:00am in the morning.

In this role, you’ll be essential in ensuring we have the right stock available in the right place in our warehouse. With attention to detail, you will safely operate a forklift to move products into our warehouse ready for customers and co-workers.

WHAT WE OFFER

• Start Date of employment will be 31st October 2026
• Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour with additional Forklift Allowance of £1.50 per hour.
• Additional nightshift allowance of £2.25 per hour when working between the hours of 22:00pm - 06:00am.
• 39 hours per week working 5 nights over 7 with alternate weekend working required. Working hours between 00:00 - 10:00am.
